Issue with Starz app

I purchased Starz through my Apple tv, episode 7 of Hightown is available but it keeps prompting us to "open with " another app. i cant do that without subscribing again. Why did it let me watch the first 6 but not this one?

Please make a distinction between a subscription as started in the separate Starz app and a subscription as started in Apple TV app Channels. These subscriptions are generally not exchangeable, even though both can be billed through iTunes, and both can feature their content in Watch Now and Up Next of the Apple TV app.


Please contact Starz about the availability of episodes of shows on Starz/Starzplay. The Starz app would get its content directly from the Starz servers. Apple TV app Channel Starzplay would get its content from the Apple servers, and that would meant that Apple has to receive the files first to make them available.


Episode 7 should be released 2020-06-28. Let them know if you experience a delay in availability. Keep trying to see if availability has changed.

I signed up for a Starz subscription through Apple TV and I am having the same problem with episode 7 still not showing. It should have been there on Monday or at least Tuesday. I gave it another day due to Canada Day on Wednesday but as of today, July 2/20, it still isn't showing. I checked Prime and episode 7 shows there but I have my Starz subscription through AppleTV and not Prime. I may have to switch if AppleTV isn't going to put the current episodes up.

I actually have the same issue. I am always able to watch immediately the the episode is shown. Episode 7 of Hightown will not play it gives 3 other options but will not play thru the Starz App. Its never been an issue and the new episode was Sunday. Today is Wednesday and its still not available. Something is really messed up and I am on the verge of cancelling and getting a refund for this month since I can't access what I bought Starz for in the first place.
