iPhone storage keeps going back to full after deleting many things daily

I had the same issue, I have been able to solve it. Doing an iphone reset is not strong enough to clear the “others” sometimes.(for whatever reason that is I don’t know)

So this is what I did I backed up and restored my iPhone on iTunes and that was able to wipe the “others” from my storage.

1. Just run your iPhone on iTunes on your MacBook or windows device
2. Click on your iPhone
3. click restore iPhone
4. There will be an option telling you to back up before restore, if you have done that already just go to restore without back up
5. When you click on restore iPhone, iTunes will download the software needed to restore your iPhone; this will take a while, it took me like 4 to 5hours probably because of network issues. It may be less depending on how fast your internet is.
6. When it starts downloading don’t pause or move the phone till it’s finished
7. When it’s done the software will wipe your phone and restore it to factory reset and that will wipe the “other” storage problem

Hey guys — I found a solution. I backed up my phone on my computer and did a factory reset. It cleared up so much of my storage. I also added all my pictures to google photos and deleted them all from my photo album.

Other can be real data; see→What is "Other" and What Can I Do About I… - Apple Community. But it can also indicate storage corruption. If it is, you can back up your phone, then restore that backup, which will clear up storage corruption if that is the cause.

If Other keeps growing it is a problem with storage corruption. The solution is to back up the phone, then restore it from the backup you just made.

Have had this problem recently, deleted all apps, photos etc and still in an hour's time my storage would go from 40GB free to full! It feels like I tried it all, eventually I restored the phone after backup, and now the problem is solved. It's a pain but it worked well.

I also erased all content and settings and set it up as a new phone then it prompts you to sign in and you can use one of your backups if you want or start it as a totally new phone.

You can first take backup on laptop. Then you do the factory reset on the phone

Then back up your phone to your computer or iCloud, then restore the backup.

If you have updated iOS and Other is still large you need to back up the phone to your computer, iCloud or both, then restore it to factory settings before restoring the backup.

Guys! Good news! For me apparently the problem is solved. So I deleted some videos and then quickly downloaded and installed the 14.1 update. I needed to be quick otherwise the storage will increase by itself to 127.9 GB again.

And it worked! After the installation, I only have 97 GB used space so, I was right that I have deleted more than 15 GB, I had deleted in fact more than 30 GB and now it shows.

On the phone you can selectively choose what to sync from iCloud. If you are syncing your user directory on your Mac to iCloud you probably don’t want that on your phone, so you can just turn off iCloud Drive in Settings/[your name]/iCloud and that content will not be synced to your phone. And turn off any other items that you don’t need on the phone.
