Never do a major upgrade to a new OS without researching how this will affect your apps

especially with Catalina.

And never when you have committed your mac and yourself to a deadline for a client.

Just asking for trouble.

My Mac automatically updated to the Catalina :(

It is a hard lesson learned, especially on a production/work machine— turn this feature off. It is not your friend.

Have you been able to recoup in some manner?

I don't think macs automatically upgrade themselves to newer OS's.

They can automatically install updates to the OS you are currently on, but you set the preferences for that, it should always be off too many people have lost work when an auto update starts and does not install properly.

It is Sunday now have you had success.
