Where the Desktop Stack Files Are Saved

Hi,

I would like to know where the Stack Folders on Desktop is saved on the file system? I am trying to access my files inside the stacks on the desktop via sftp but could not find in the Users/abcd/Desktop folder from the terminal.

I am using mac OS X Catalina.

Cheers,

Jo

If items are in a stack on the Desktop then the path is just the Desktop.

Stacks are just a convenient way to groups similar files and keep your Desktop less cluttered.

So there is no actual Stacks folder, it is a virtual thing so to speak.

If you want to find your files on the Desktop click on Go in the Finder menubar

and click on Go To Folder and type in

~/Desktop

press Go

A new Finder window will open and you should be able to scroll to find the file you are looking for.
