I ordered a MacBook Air and there was an offer for a free AirPods but when I completed the order I had a withdrawal for the free AirPods what should I do?

The macbook is charged when it ships, not right when the order is placed. People could get airpods for free without having to pay a cent for the macbook by canceling their order when they get the airpods. This is their way of preventing that. And when the macbook ships then your charged for the macbook, but 159 is taken out of the MSRP of the macbook.
You need to ask Apple, not all the AirPods are free, some you need to pay extra for
One solution is to cancel the order and try again.
Be certain you meet all the requirements.
They did charge for the AirPods, but subtracted it from the cost of the MacBook. So I was charged less for the MacBook when it shipped.
this happened to me as well I called apple to cancel my AirPods order because, they charged me for the AirPods it said it was free!
When it is preparing for shipment, you should get a charge the has 159 dollars taken off of it onto of the however many dollars from the student discount, assuming you got regular airpods.
Don't worry about it. The 159 is taken off the macbook once it is charged.
Worst comes to worst, just return the airpods and repurchase your macbook. But I would imagine apple would be able to help you out.
The thing about tax is that a handful of states don't have sales tax. So if you lived in let's say Oregon, you wouldn't be charged with sales tax. You can't get away from getting something for free without paying tax for it depending on what state you live in, unfortunately.
Did they reverse the charge? I ordered today and they charged me too.
I was having the same issue but what Spark365 said makes total sense. Because the airpods ship before the macbook, someone could easily just cancel it. Pretty smart.
What Spark said earlier makes sense. If they sent you out free airpods before the macbook, then someone can just cancel the order and get away with free airpods. I'm pretty sure now that they just rake $159 off of the $1199 base model macbook, which is the one I got.
I just bought a MacBook Pro and that happened too. I understand that people could cancel after getting AirPods but what really grinds my gears is that they charged tax with the AirPods too so basically that’s like an extra $20 taken out of my account for no reason when if they just charged the regular price and waived the tax they’d truly be free AirPods, it’s ridiculous
Wish I knew this before I cancelled my order! My total should’ve been £898 and once I saw that £159 was taken out of my account I thought it was unauthorised and cancelled my order. Will that money be refunded?
