My husband's iPhone 11 fell off the back of his truck and got run over by several vehicles. It's pretty smashed up, but still chimes when I connect to power. Cannot get it to get recognized by my computer when connected. No backup. Anyone know how I can get the pictures off the phone?
If he enabled iCloud Photo Library, the images may have synced to iCloud. To see what's there, log into his Apple ID account at icloud.com via any web browser.

Are you confident they aren't in iCloud? Was he syncing photos? Were automatic iCloud backups enabled?
The device is useless.
Backups must occur before catastrophes. After a catastrophe, it’s too late.
