MacBook Pro Camera Blurry & Battery drain

OK I am reposting this since Apple emailed me said that they took it down under the pathetic excuse that I should contact support on this matter, which I did. I am posting here to ask if anyone else is having the same issue.

I purchased a 2020 MacBook Pro 13 inch a week ago. The battery was draining super fast, would go from 100% to 23% in about 3 hours.

Called support, made me reinstall OS, reset SMC, etc. Problem continued. I returned the defective unit and got another one.

Surprise!!! This unit has a different problem, that the previous one didn’t have.

“HD” Camera is super blurry no matter the lighting.

I read this is an issue for many people. I have my old 2015 MBP and both cameras are supposed to be the same. The difference between the 2015’ camera and 2020’s is brutal...

This is so disappointing! Apple Support is even making fun of me using sarcasm....

Does anyone have the same issue please help!

A Few Thoughts:

A. Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:

Sometimes changes are made to the system and then settings (i.e. for Video and for Battery) become corrupted, technically. So, reset both on your Mac.

B. Change the Resolution:

If the SMC and NVRAM reset is of no success, then change your resolution.  Go Here: Change your Mac display's resolution - Apple Support

C. Create a New Administrator User:

See if you still get this error - if so, then it is something misconfigured in your current user. If that fixes this, then transfer everything over to the new user, ridding of this current user.

To Create an Admin:

  1. Go to: System Preferences
  2. Click: Users & Groups
  3. Unlock: the Lock
  4. Press: the "+" button
  5. Add: an Administrator User.
