Random lines appearing on my screen?

Hi,

I've been using my MacBook Air since March 2020, I noticed as of lately there have been random lines flickering and shaking on my screen and then it suddenly disappears?

I am really worried as it has only been a few months and this should not be happening!

I've been extremely careful and I have not been overcharging my Mac either!

Please help!

I am assuming that you have a 2020 MacBook Air 13inch and are experiencing screen flickering. The first thing that I would tell you is that your 2020 MacBook Air is less than a year old and is therefore covered by Apple's 1 Year Limited Warranty and you should try and take advantage of that by having it examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center. I know most of the Apple Stores are probably still closed and I recommend that you contact  ➔ Apple Support.

Does this happen no matter which app is open and no matter what you are working on the MacBook Air?

Having said the above, You can try the following to see if that solves the issue-

  1. Reset SMC by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset SMC. If that does not solve things then-
  2. Reset NVRAM/PRAM by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset NVRAM/PRAM. If that does not solve things then-
  3. Thats all I have for now. Beyond the above recommendations, You can have your MacBook Pro examined at the Apple Store or an Authorized Service Center when they open or contact ➔ Apple Support
