I’ve been asked to approve my new IPad 7 It says go to other devices signed into cloud to approve the new IPad. I have no idea what to do. I have an older ipad4

is the older ipad4 still signed into your Apple ID?

when you try to sign into your new device using your Apple ID, you should get a prompt on your other Apple device(s) to allow the new device to connect. You'd click 'allow' and it'd display a code.
I have gone thru this many times myself and never had any issues.
