Usable Specifications for Apple Arcade

Hi All,

I have a MacBook Air, 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 and Beyond a Steel Sky from Apple Arcade is totally unplayable, the screen judders just playing the static intros and trying to walk around is a non starter. No other applications were open or running.

What are the realistic minimum specs to use Apple Arcade games? When I downloaded it from the App Store it claimed to be compatible with the device.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings, jonburton.

After reviewing your post, it appears that you're having a problem using an Apple Arcade game on your MacBook Air. When you downloaded it, you received a message that it is compatible with your Mac, and we're glad to help with this.

If an app won't run or install on your Mac after you upgrade macOS -- This article provides the information and steps you need when a third-party app doesn't work as you expect. You'll find the steps under "Make sure that you have the latest version"

Beyond a Steel Sky -- We've provided a link since there's also a recent update for the game.

It also shows the requirements for using this game. It's compatible with macOS 10.15.0 or later, and also requires a 64-bit processor since macOS Catalina doesn't support 32-bit apps any longer.

Let us know how that goes.

Take care.
