Cant receive texts because of storage

I’ve tried everything to delete caches, web search history, almost all of the photos i had, and almost all the large attachments I had. I went online and asked how to delete ‘other’ and ‘system’ data, and I followed what they suggested which was to delete and re-download my apps, turn off and on my phone, and go into settings and delete history and data from as many apps as would allow (only safari). This is ridiculous. I am unable to receive texts because my storage is so full, and the only instructions my phone is giving me is to further delete large attachments. I am certain that as soon as I delete those large attachments, that extra single GB of space will suddenly be taken up by ‘other’ and ‘system’.

Is there ANYTHING i can do short of getting a new phone???
