2019 Nissan Leaf - apple carplay crackling during phone calls and text messages

I've tried multiple cables and music via Sirius XM or Amazon Music apps play with no crackling. Crackling is only during phone calls, listening to voicemail or using text messaging.

I had a 2018 Nissan Leaf and did NOT have this issue.

HELP?

You try using bluetooth? Apologize, I never used Apple Car Play. But probraly contact your Nissan dealer for issues.🙏

The problem appears to be the Zoom app. I deleted all apps that accessed the phone function and the problem went away. I recently had to reinstall zoom and it came back.
