macbook air won’t turn on

my macbook air won’t turn, it’s a year old no water damage been dropped but no problems occurred after wards it was working perfectly fine two days ago and now will not turn on i have it plugged it but just black screen what should i do?

Hello!

  • First, make your MacBook Air is receiving power from its charger. Is the light turning on in the charger cable when connected to the MacBook Air?
  • Second, make sure your brightness is up. The screen may appear black if the brightness is all the way down.
  • Then, disconnect all accessories from your computer (USBs, printers, etc.), press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, release the button, and then press it again.
  • If that does not work then you can try resetting your Mac's System Management Controller. Here is a guide on how to do it: How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
  • If none of the above works, then it is most likely a hardware issue, and you should contact Apple support here: Get Support
