Message read between Apple devices are not syncing.

The messages between apple devices are not getting synced properly.

The messages are getting delivered to all all the devices.

But, when they are read in one, they are not marked as read in other.

For example, when the message is read on an iPhone, they stays unread on Mac and iPad. When they are read on Mac, the other device keeps them as new messages. And I had to open each device and read them to mark them as read.

This only happens for Messages and not for iMessages. iMessages are synced properly (meaning they are marked as read, when they are read on one device the other devices mark them as read).

Any one have this problem? Or had and found a solution to this problem?

Hello Sathiesh mg,

We see that your messages are not showing read across your devices. We understand wanting to get this resolved, and we'd be happy to look into this with you.

First, let's have you check your settings on your devices. Go to Settings > Tap your account > iCloud > Messages, and make sure that this is enabled on all of your devices.

If this setting is set on all of your devices, restart them all and test to see if the issue remains. Also, make sure that you're using the latest version of software on all of your devices.

Restart your iPhone

Restart your iPad

Log out, sleep, restart, or shut down your Mac

If the issue remains, can you tell us when this issue began? Also, have they been syncing in the past?

We look forward to hearing back from you.
