Minimum MacOS Requirement for iOS

Long after having updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 13.3, I discovered that it was no longer recognized by my Mac Pro running Yosemite (10.10), so I couldn't back it up nor even charge the phone. I eventually found out that iOS13.3 required at least El Capitan OS 11 and its corresponding iTunes version. There are no warnings or notices from Apple about that; you just have to discover it and scramble for a solution. I have since updated to El Capitan & everything syncs fine.

I realize that I'm on the tip-edge of ancient technology here where things are going to no longer work with what I have. However, my question is does anyone know of a list somewhere that shows what MacOS is required for each iOS? All I've managed to find so far is a listing of minimum MacOS versions matched up against iPhone models (but not iOS versions).

I'd like to update to iOS 13.5.1, but I don't want to run into this surprise again.

Thanks, but I am aware of how to upgrade; I’m looking to know if there’s a list of MacOS requirements per iOS release so I can prevent being stuck with being unable to backup my phone to my computer. (I’m not interested in buying more iCloud storage, btw, until I absolutely have to due to lack of compatibility with my current hardware).
