Add alerts to Calendar subscriptions

Is there any way to add default alerts to calendar subscriptions? I'm subscribed to a calendar (football) that doesn't have any reminder/alert and even if I set and alarm on some of the events, when they update the information of the calendar, it clears the reminder. In Google Calendar you can add default alerts even to calendar subscriptions, is it possible to do it in iCloud/iOS?
