Email delivery and notification

How do I set up emails to be delivered to my iPhone inbox and notified as soon as they are received? Arriving emails are being delivered and notified only when I open the email app.

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Settings>Passwords&Accounts>Fetch new data>Push... and other settings for each email account.

(keeping in mind that not all email providers offer push notifications service).

Thanks but it didn't solve the issue. It was already set up this way for years and worked fine but ceased to work over the last week or so. It is the Exchange email account. Anything else I could check?
