iCloud Photo Library is already turned on.

Hi,

I understand the reply and options as described in this post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251149297

My next question is, if I am storing everything in the cloud, why is my MacBook having storage issues. I continue to receive the message stating that - your disk is almost full.

Thanks!

MacBook

So even though I have the 2 TB i cloud service and a 128 GB HD space on my MacBook, I am unable to "store" all content without hitting a limit on my MAcBook? Is that correct?

Yes.

The bottomline is, I need to delete content from my MacBook or move it to a separate storage device. Is that an accurate statement?

Yes.

Again... iCloud is not, as you have assumed, off device storage.

You can optimize. See <<< https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT206996

I confirmed that I have my Desktop and Documents checked off to Store in iCloud. In addition, I have confirmed that I am using the Optimize Storage feature.

I did notice that my Photo Library is a decent size. With this said, my I have my Photos set up to download the original to my iMac, not the MacBook, but I suspect the 14Gb here is the snapshot of the photos. I have about 100GB of photos on my iMac.
