Apple Pencil 1st Generation thinning lines

When drawing with my apple pencil 1st gen, lines would randomly become thin and almost transparent. At first, I thought it was just the program I was using (Clip Studio Paint), so I first reset my iPad which didn’t help. So I tried deleting and downloading the app again, but that didn’t fix anything. I switched to another program (Procreate), and it seemed to be fine and I wasn’t experiencing this problem, but then it started happening again. I can only assume this has something to do with my iPad (7th gen) or apple pencil now. I’ve uploaded a picture showing what it’s doing. Any ideas as to what to do?
