Help me in pairing Apple Pencil with IPad Pro 12.9 . Using 1st generation pencil and not getting paired even after recharging, restarting I pad several times

Unfortunately it can't be paired to your iPadPro 12.9 3rd gen.

Thanks for reply, however i am not sure of 3rd generation. My iPad mode is (iPad Pro (12.9-inch)) Both IPad Pro and pencil purchased same time and i could paired. I stopped using pencil for more than year, recently i tried to pair, not getting paired. I kept in charge mode full day by connecting directly to i pad as well as apple phone charger.
