Internet not working, only Google websites loading

Hello, I’ve seen this question asked before but none of the solutions helped. I have a 2012 MacBook Pro (OS Catalina) with connectivity issues. It’s connecting to WiFi but the Internet doesn’t load except for Google websites. This problem started last week. I factory reset my laptop thinking I have a virus/Trojan/malware/bad stuff on my laptop but still have this issue. I’ve restarted the router multiple times and tried to change DNS with no luck. I want to take my laptop in but I don’t exactly know what the problem is. Sorry if this is confusing.

Hello, anniegar.

After reviewing your post, it appears you're unable to connect with any other website but Google websites using your MacBook Pro on macOS Catalina. Good job on the troubleshooting you've tried, and we're glad to help with this.

If you're able, see if you can access any other sites but Google’s using your MacBook Pro on a different Wi-Fi network.

Hello! Thank you so much for your help. As it turned out, my old MacBook was somehow not being identified properly so my brother blocked the MAC address on our router’s settings. It was showing up as a random Kindle. We didn’t think anything of it until I matched the blocked MAC address to my MacBook’s. Thank you for responding.
