changing the microphone input on iPhone

Is it possible to change the mic input on my iPhone when I have an external bluetooth set of headphones on? The reason being, the built in mic is better than that on these 3rd party headphones so when I try and dictate a message on them the quality of the transcription is usually pretty poor. But I want to continue to wear the headphones for music before and after sending the message. Any help would be appreciated!
