How do I get my lost crypto keys after switching to a new phone

About 2 years ago I Purchased a phone from a friend and sold my old phone. On the phone was an app where it’s stored crypto currencies in a wallet. I never thought to write down the passphrase figured everything would transfer over.The company updated their app and now I’m screwed is there any way to reach back in the cloud and pull my loss keys?

Passwords are not included in a backup unless the backup is encrypted, or if it is an iCloud backup. If neither of these applies, or if you didn’t back up at all, there is no way to recover that info unless the app has a server-side backup.
