Plantronics 5200 Bluetooth disconnects from iphione

This issue has been annoying me for years. The Plantronics noise canceling microphone is state of the art, but it won’t stay connected to my phone and seems completely random as to when it works and when it decides to disconnect. I can go for days without any issue and then days where it is almost useless. I have googled this many times and unpairing and re-pairing doesn’t work. However, I think I have found a solution. Go into the plantronics app and disable your headset’s ear sensor where it automatically detects that the headset is in your ear or not. I did it about a month ago and haven’t had an issue since. Fingers crossed it doesn’t start acting up again.
