just installed icloud for windows 10 on dell pc. trying to login to icloud for first time. repeatedly receive error message: "error occurred during authentication. Please try again." has not worked after many attempts, including uninstalling and reinstalling icloud app several times. where do I go from here?

Eric, Thank you for replying. I am running anti-virus but have checked that it is not the cause. Not running a VPN. I attempted this a total of 4 complete cycles, from uninstalling iCloud for windows to reinstalling then attempts to login; plus many intervening attempts to login to iCloud. Finally on the fifth attempt...it worked. I did nothing differently so it is a complete mystery to me. But it is now working. Go figure!!
Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?
Have you tried connecting while booted into another user account?
