7th GEN iPod Nano will not connect to wireless AirPods

I saw this question asked in another post but what I don’t understand Is why the nano has no problem connecting to my cars ,JBL Connect three, Denon home stereo system and most importantly my beats wireless headphones but for some reason it can’t connect to an Apple product such as the wireless AirPods GEN two that just doesn’t make any sense.

yes I have connected it to iTunes and verify to have the latest software 1.1.4 and I did a hard reboot but it just doesn’t find the air pods on the list of devices.

Hello,

AirPods are not compatible with any model of iPod nano.

Hello,

iPod nano (7th generation) is a nearly decade old device and does not support modern Bluetooth peripherals.

Okay so Apple basically discontinued updates to include peripheral Bluetooth. 👍🏼

Yeah that’s what they’re telling me what I don’t understand is why an Apple product can’t communicate with another Apple product when my beats headphones connect fine with the nano it just doesn’t make sense to me that’s what I’m trying to figure out I know they won’t work I just want to know why.
