mac startup issues, unusual alarm like sound, anyone familiar with it?

have an old macbook pro. since this morning i had trouble with turning it on as it was stuck on a black background.

gave it a SMC reboot and NVRAM reboot as suggested on forums i found. got rid of the black background and made it restart but there is another problem now, it makes this repeated sound at startup: https://imgur.com/a/U8TPl8x (please check video with sound here)

any advice/idea what it might be and what i can do about it?

It might be the DVD, it stoped working a few years ago. From that point on, every time i would restrat it made a roll/click noise, just 1 short noise (like going forward and backward) if that makes any sense. I let it be as it didn't annoy me and i'm not using the DVD.

Do you think it just decided today to make this new noise and should i be worried?

Any idea how i could fix it?

Thank you!
