USB disconnecting and connecting constantly - MBA2017 A1466

I'm having an issue with my USB port constantly connecting and disconnecting both my iPad 5th Gen and my iPhone 11 Pro. The issue concerns ONLY the right side USB port, the left one, next to the charging port works great. Force quitting the "usbd" process in Activity Monitor helped, but I had to do it twice in a row - after the first one in restarted and I had to stop it again.

Does anyone have this issue? Any permanent solutions?

Hello klocek69.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that when you use the right USB port on your MacBook Air that your iPad or iPhone when connected when keep disconnecting and reconnecting. We’re happy to help.

So that we can isolate the cause further, does this happen when you use a different lightning cable with your iPad and iPhone? Does this occur with the other USB port? If this continues to happen when using another lightning cable, we recommend having an Apple Technician inspect your MacBook Air. You can locate your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider here: Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Take care.
