Caption text stays black on epub files.

These have no character styles or anything. This happened on the last version and still happens on the latest version today. Its driving me insane. If I place it as regular text it is fine and will correctly change color but anytime a text box or now the "caption" feature is used, it locks the text color. Paragraph background color is black/white. Please help.

I have no experience migrating Pages exported .docx, or .epub to mobi/amazon which has their own ebook creation requirements. Features that Apple provides are first and foremost intended to be used with iBooks, not other ebook platforms, so appropriate planning is necessary.

Personally, if I were generating eBooks for multiple platforms, I would be using MS Word for the .docx, and pay the one-time $199 unlimited eBook publishing fee for eBook publishing from Vellum. You can even preview what the finished book will look like for different eBook platforms from within the free app.
