Upgrade From Intel Software To Arm

I am using a 3 year old MacBook Pro and thinking of upgrading to the new ARM MacBook when they come out. Will I have to buy new versions of my current Microsoft and Adobe software or can I upgrade for free to get the new ARM version of the programs so I will not have to use Rosetta on the old versions?

Thank you

The bottom line? Apple provides application developers with "Developer" betas to test out their apps. These same developers will also have an opportunity to acquire ARM-based Macs as well. It comes down to the developer to decide whether or not, their current apps work with Big Sur / ARM-based devices, or they will need to port them over.

So no one here can actually answer your questions related to the apps you use as we don't know any better for the ones we use as well. Remember this is an Apple-product User-to-User forum. None of us here work for Apple ... and, even if we did, we wouldn't be allowed to tell you more than what I just did.
