iphone 5 Disabled (Says to connect to itunes)

Hi my iphone 5s has some important information in it but since I haven't used it in a while I forgot the passcode and got locked out.

The phone says, "iphone is disabled (connect to itunes)". I've connected my phone to my laptop and signed in to itunes but nothing is happening.

Does anyone know how I'm supposed to unlock my phone with itunes?
