“Distance” outdoor run doesn’t automatically stop

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Apple Watch “distance” outdoor run can automatically end the workout once you’ve hit your set distance goal? Or it is always a manual end? Because if not, I don’t see any different from an “open” goal apart from the notifications of how far you’ve got left to go etc.

Thanks.

Once you hit your goal, the workout will not end, but you are able to mark segments in your workout. Please see the sections titled “End, pause, or lock your workout” and “Mark segments in your workout” here: Work out with your Apple Watch - Apple Support
