Why can’t I open a screen recording file on MacBook Pro?

I screen recorded a video about 50 mins long. Yes I know, that’s long. I was able to watch it shortly after recording it.

I came home later and I wanted to watch it again, but when I click on the .mov QuickTime file, it does absolutely nothing.

I waited for a while thinking “it’s a long video so it’ll take a minute”, but it never shows up. I’ve tried just about everything I can think of but no matter what this file won’t open.

Any advice?
