Support for Ultrawide LG displays: LG 34WK95U-W and LG 34WK95C-W

Hi, I'm considering buying one of LG displays for my Mac Mini 2018: LG 34WK95C-W (3440 x 1440) or LG 34WK95U-W(5120 x 2160). But it's hard to find trustworthy information about do they are compatible with my Mac Mini 2018. Primarily I'm thinking about handling the native resolution of the displays. Does anybody own this kind of setup? Is it working correctly?

The 2018 Mac Mini supports the following display configurations.

see > Mac mini - Technical Specifications - Apple

Support for the following combination of maximum concurrent display setups:

  • Up to three displays:
  • Two displays with 4096-by-2304 resolution at 60Hz connected via Thunderbolt 3 plus one display with 4096-by-2160 resolution at 60Hz connected via HDMI 2.0
  • or
  • Up to two displays:
  • One display with 5120-by-2880 resolution at 60Hz connected via Thunderbolt 3 plus one display with 4096-by-2160 resolution at 60Hz connected via HDMI 2.0

For higher resolution displays, use a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) adapter or cable instead of the HDMI port.
