iphone serial number invalid

I don’t think that is possible. I have been using it for 2.5 years and other apple services are working fine and i got it from a well reputed local store.

even chatting with the support requires a valid serial number. I tried using my ipad serial number, it worked but no one responded to me. Because of the pandemic i think; they have reduced there work force.

i was asked to put my serial number when i tried to check the repair options available for my degraded battery and also they are asking me the serial number if i wanted to chat with the support.
