iphone serial number invalid
I tried it to find out the repair options for my battery. But i can’t because it shows my serial number is invalid. what should i do?

Where are you checking your serial number? This is the ONLY valid place to check it—>Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support. If you get an error what is the exact wording of the error?

Assuming you entered the 12 character alphanumeric serial “number" correctly, that means that either your phone is counterfeit or it was stolen out of inventory before it was sold.
even chatting with the support requires a valid serial number. I tried using my ipad serial number, it worked but no one responded to me. Because of the pandemic i think; they have reduced there work force.
I don’t think that is possible. I have been using it for 2.5 years and other apple services are working fine and i got it from a well reputed local store.
here is a screen shot, devices under my apple id shows my iphone and when i click it the serial number matches.
i was asked to put my serial number when i tried to check the repair options available for my degraded battery and also they are asking me the serial number if i wanted to chat with the support.
