Showing invalid serial number

When I was checking my iphone warranty details , while entering serial number it shows invalid serial number

What to do?

Serial Number Validity About a year and a half ago I purchased an iPhone XR directly from an Apple Store. I recently went to check the serial number and it deemed it as “invalid” I have also tried every other number in setting “about” page. I even tried typing in the number instead of Copy & Paste, nothing. No problems otherwise but are there any possible solutions, or even just an explanation?

When I look up the serial number it is only giving me 10 digits followed by ... this means that when I type in the serial number it says it's invalid. How can I find out what the last 2 digits are please

If you believe the information shown for your product is incorrect, you can submit your proof of purchase online

Your sales receipt is needed for Apple’s Limited Warranty, AppleCare Protection Plan, and AppleCare+ validation, so be sure to keep it in a safe place. Apple’s Limited Warranty is the same whether or not you register.
