sound

the sound my macbook wont work, its not muted and the output sound is all the way up. it works whn i plug earphones in or connect airpods but when i take them out it doesnt.

MacBook Sound Not Working So I just got my MacBook Pro 16", and I connected my AirPods Pro to it, but after I stopped using them, the speakers don't play any sound. No video, no mp3, no test noises or notifications, nothing. I checked to make sure the output was set to built-in speakers, it's not muted (that would just be embarrassing) and the volume slider is of course up where I should be able to hear at least SOMEthing. What's going on and how do I fix it?

Built-in Speakers on MacBook Air not working The built-in speakers aren't workin on my macbook air. I've run the gauntlet of steps to take, as listed on the apple support site. Checked that I was off MUTE on the apps I'm using...looked at sound in system preferences to be sure I wasn't on low volume or mute...made sure my Airpods weren't connected (or any other blue tooth device). What's left to do to get them to turn back on???

Sound Volume in Menu Bar I just purchased a new MacBook Pro. The BlueTooth icon has replaced the sound volume . I can not change the volume. My keyboard connects, but I can't sync my AirPods. What can I do to get this functioning properly? Thanks Carl

Try resetting the SMC.
