Fake iPhone?

Why the size of the applications in the App store is different on different iPhones? I'm talking about the same App. Does that mean you're selling fake phones?

It’s not clear if you are asking about the size in MB of an application, or the physical size of the phone that you want to install the application on. You say “why the size of the applications in the App store”, but then reference an old thread about the size of the box a phone comes in. So your posts make no sense at all.

However, I will address the size of an application. Apps have a fixed code base and then code extensions that are for the specific device you will install the app on (things such as screen size and the version of the processor). Only the extensions that are needed by your specific model phone are included in the app when you download it. This is a process called “app thinning” and its purpose is so storage on your phone is not wasted with code your specific model doesn’t need.

What you explain to me about the size of the phone and the size of the app is silly.

I didn't explain it, Lawrence did. And his information is entirely factual. It's been around since iOS 9.

Your refusal to accept facts is what's silly.

I know what I'm talking about and I can prove it.

You have proof of nothing. Two different model phones will show different sizes of the same app due to app thinning. This isn't hard to understand.

(Sigh) And back to the boxes. You keep repeating this, and yet provide ZERO information about what model phone you have as opposed to what it says on the box.
