System Integrity Protection
Webroot says that the SIP (System Integrity Protection) has been disabled. I do not know how that happened, but I want my computer to be protected. How do I enable it?
Thank you.

After You Restart:
Verify if SIP is Enabled, using Terminal:
What does it say?
Open Terminal. Type:
csrutil clear
Close Terminal, restart the Mac. Finish by getting rid of the totally worthless Webroot.

How to Get to Terminal:
Use Spotlight Search to Access it:
Note: As you type the word "Terminal", it will Pop Up.
There's nothing to check. The clear command resets it to enabled.
No AV software of any kind is of any use whatsoever. There are no Mac viruses so there's nothing to detect. There are lots of Trojans (malware YOU have to install in some way), and not a single one of them will stop you from installing, or running them. Rarely will they even tell you after the fact you've installed malware.
They succeed in doing only two things. Wasting your Mac's system resources doing nothing useful, and if it costs anything, taking your money for useless software.
Let's not forget the pure hypocrisy of Avast:

Yeah, just great. "Security" software gathering your personal information to sell. All without your knowledge or consent.

Always Verify that things when Through as Intended:
Its best to check SIP is enabled. Make sure sure everything goes through as intended, when you make a change.
Thank you. You do not believe that Webroot is helpful?

Excuse my ignorance, but I have no idea what "terminal" is or how to get to that step.
+1 👍
Thank you so much!
You are welcome.
Terminal is an app in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder. Launch it and enter the command I posted.
Though if you want, you can check to see if it's really disabled, or if Webroot was lying. That would be the csrutil status command TheLittles mentioned.
"status" does just that. It only tells you SIP's current state without changing anything.

There's nothing ignorant about asking.
