FCPX crop/zoom in and track object through a frame?

I'm a video editing novice, and I don't think that I'm using the correct terminology here, so please bear with me. I'm trying to zoom in on a specific moving object in a video, and I need the focus/camera to stay on that object as it travels across the frame. Is this something that Final Cut Pro X can do natively? If so, how? If not, are there any plugins that can do this? My searching has so far only yielded ways to track objects/subjects for the purposes of adding text/images. It is unclear to me whether these plugins could also do what I need. Thanks for any help.

Zoom into something means to scale it up. You should really only scale up about 15% or the image will softened. You could also highlight an object in the image by filming the surrounding area. This is easiest to do with a color correction tool like the Color Board and apply a sharpie mask to it area. You can keyframe the mask to track the area in the frame.
