After I fill in Apple Id password the watch says it will send a verification code to one of my devices. Nothing comes through on either my phone or ipad. My watch won't allow me to do anything else without repeatedly asking me. Advise please

Use Same Apple ID:
Are these other devices signed into different Apple ID? If so, it will not get the message.
