I am trying to pair my watch to my phone but it won't work using the scanning devise and when i try manually there is no 6 digit code appearing on the watch.
My apple watch is second hand.
First series i believe.
My friend reset the watch and diconnected it from her apple ID.
Check with your friend that they removed the activation lock,.They have to follow these steps;

Or do this;
On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
Go to Find Iphone.
Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.
Click Erase Apple Watch.
Select Next until the device is erased.
Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.

I followed the youtube video and the 6 digit code still does not appear.
My friend cannot see the watch on her icloud

The first step works and the apple logo appears,
when i hold down the side botton for 20 seconds plus the apple logo flashes once, makes a ping sound then just goes back to the language settings,
the "erase all content and settings" does not appear.
