Its just this specific person, but they have iPhone as well. We can iMessage all day. Sometimes it goes through as SMS due to lack of service. and we can FaceTime just fine. But for some reason when I actually call the phone number it says the number has been disconnected. Why?

Thanks for your post! We understand that when attempting to call a specific contact, their number will appear as disconnected. Does this happen every time? If you haven't already, restart your device and perform any available iOS updates.
If the issue continues, try deleting their contact information, then create it again.
If the issue persists, we recommend you both contact your respective carriers.
