I just purchase the MacBook Air 2020, when I am using it I get a pop up saying
Webpage is using significant memory, closing it may improve the responsive of your Mac
I have no idea what to do because I don't want to mess up anything

Nothing to worry about. Your Mac is just letting you know a particular webpage is a resource hog, usually happens on pages with a bunch of ads.
You can leave it alone. When you’re done with that webpage, close it.
