My Macbook Pro 13-inch 2020 speakers keep randomly crackling and distorting sound when played from Spotify, Youtube etc.. Restarting fixes it but it's happened twice in less than a week of me owning it. Seems to be happening when I open it, once first thing in the morning and just now at night after using it periodically throughout the day. I don't understand.

Yep, stopping and restarting core audio seems to have fixed it for me--at least temporarily.
Would you mind providing an update?
I have literally just gone outside of my return window and this distortion has just happened for the first time.

I think we all should raise an incident as harware issue, so apple can recognise it as a global impact and will launch a program to fix it.

I have a similar issue, brought it to the service center they did some reformatting but still the same. Just wondering if your issue got fixed and how?
No it is not fixed even after taking to service center as they themselves dont know what to do I believe.
