Dead phone, need to erase content

I have an Iphone XR. Bought it used, it worked for a week and then it died. Need to return it to the seller but first I want to erase all of my info from the phone. How can I do that if it wont power up?

Erase all data Hello, I’m trying to sell my iPhone 8+ for parts but it’s damaged and can’t turn on and I have to have everything erased from it in order to sell. Is there any way to achieve this even though I cannot access my phone ?

How to wipe all data from iPhone that has hardware failure? iPhone 11 is locked on white screen "swipe up to recover". Will not do anything, Assurion replaced the phone. Now I need to wipe the data off the old phone but cannot - tried the up-down-power button trick, also plugged into MAC - no luck. How to wipe? iCloud trying but failing to "remove cards" from ApplePay on this device.

Out of desperation, took it to the local cell repair shop and they opened the phone and realized that there

were 2 tiny screws that were supposed to hold the battery in place...one was out, the other was loose and once he tightened them down.....the phone works!!! No charge, phone works perfectly now!!!
