Am I able to get the Apple TV app with Xfinity as my internet provider
Your internet provider has nothing to do with it. In order to get the Apple TV app you must have an AppleTV streaming box, Roku streaming box, or you must have a smart tv that supports downloading of the Apple TV app. Again, your internet provider has nothing to do with this.
The Xfinity X1 cable TV set-top box is not a supported device for the Apple TV app, if that is what you meant.
