I installed a Yamaha MIDI Driver from their main website, but don't know where to go from there. I have a AKAI Pro MPK mini that just plugs in and is automatically recognized, but the Yamaha doesn't show up anywhere… at least not that I can see. A tutorial would be much appreciated!

Reboot your Mac, connect your Yamaha again before reboot, launch audio midi setup utility can you see it in there under midi view?
if so, launch logic can you see any note information In the display when you hit keys?
That file sounds wrong. Are you sure you downloaded the correct one it shoul be this one,

read the installation notes and you’ll see it’s a .pkg file. Try that
It’s the pkg file that’s the installer. So close your Mac down, plug usb cable into Mac, switch piano on, reboot your Mac. Open logic. Open a software instrument track, say electric piano, play your keyboard can you hear the electric piano sound from within logic?
I did as you recommended, but Audio MIDI Setup does not recognize the Yamaha DGX-230. The file I downloaded from Yamaha's website is called "Yamaha DGX-230.cst". When I click on it, it opens Logic Pro X, but says that the file could not be opened.
That's where I got it from. The package gives me a lot of documents, but only a couple of things of importants. The aforementioned .cst file (which is a Logic Settings file), and a plug-in called YAMAHA-USBMIDIDriver.plugin. It seems like the plugin is what I need, but I can't figure out how to access it via Logic.
UPDATE: Plug-In Manager in Logic doesn't see it and when I click on the file, it asks me which application to use and Logic isn't an option for me to click.
I hope this doesn't come off as passive aggressive, but I suppose I'm stuck then. I've downloaded and installed it twice now, and both times, when I connect the keyboard to my Mac, nothing happens. I don't see anything in Audio MIDI Setup and I can't do anything in Logic Pro X.

I went to the website, downloaded the .zip file, opened the .pkg file, it successfully installed, then nothing happened. I tried using the .cst and .plugin files, but they weren't meant to be opened I suppose. When I plug in the MIDI cable to my Mac, nothing happens.
You don’t need to access it from logic. You run the install it on your system, it runs in the background, it’s a driver so it’s not necessary to access it from logic.
