iPhone xs max - VW Passat 2015 Radio Bluetooth
So, my Bluetooth connection for my car stopped working with my phone. For the last several months, this hasn't been an issue. Whenever I would turn my car on it would automatically connect to my Bluetooth in my car, and start playing my music. 4-5 days ago, this function stopped working. It will say its connected but not communicate with the car or play music through the speakers. At first, I thought it was my car that was the problem. After unplugging my car radio from under the passenger seat, it still wasn't working with my phone. I tried it with 3 different android phones and there was no problem at all. I find this extremely frustrating, because now I know my phone is the problem. I dont understand why all the sudden this stopped working. I`ve tried disconnecting my bluetooth and restarting it right before I get in the car, I`ve tried playing my music on my phone before I start the car (which did work ONE time) and actually hard resetting my phone. What is the issue, and what can I do? This is ridiculous. I also cannot make calls through the Bluetooth in my car either. I don`t believe there has been any updates that would have caused this. I`ve researched this, and it seems others were having problems with this as well, with apple and VW, and Porsche (which car stereos are made by the same company. This is only a problem with iPhones.
