I can’t use the lock screen to log in

I was on a pc game and thought my laptop was charging, but it wasn’t and died while on the game, when i came back on my laptop after the charge had gone up, the lock screen has glitched. The game music is playing in the background with a slight static noise to it, but I can’t use the lock screen to log in. There’s a mouse on the screen, but it’s the same mouse that I would use if I was in the game. The cursor on the password tab is flashing as if I am ready to start typing, but when i type it doesn’t do anything. I tried typing in my password to see if it’s just not showing up on the bar, in hope that it would let me in, but that didn’t work either.

Hard reboot – press and hold the power button (Touch ID button) until the display shuts off, wait a few seconds, then press and release the button to power back on.
